Ashanti Johnson is a scientist, educator, and entrepreneur. She holds a PhD in Oceanography from Texas A&M University and has conducted research in the fields of marine biology, biogeochemistry, and environmental science.
Johnson is the founder and CEO of The 360 Group, a consulting company that focuses on empowering diverse communities in the fields of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). She is also the founder of Black Girls Dive Foundation, a nonprofit organization that aims to increase participation and representation of Black girls and women in marine and environmental science.
In addition to her work in STEM education and advocacy, Johnson is a passionate ocean advocate and has been involved in various initiatives to promote environmental conservation and sustainability. She is a TEDx speaker and has been recognized for her work with numerous awards and honors.
